General Information on User Accounts

Welcome to the web-site for electronic submission and review of papers for the IEEE Signal Processing Magazine. This page contains information regarding creation and maintenance of user accounts for using the web-page.

Initial registration and account creation

In order to use the paper submission and system, it is first necessary to register with the system and create a user account. Note: If you have used this system earlier, either as a reviewer or an editor, please use the same account for submission of papers. DO NOT create a separate account as this can cause confusion later.

To create an account, use this link. Alternately, you can use a popup link from the main page. On this page, you need to enter the following information:

  1. E-mail address: Your email address - Note that this will be internally converted to lower case letters.
  2. First name: First name or first initials.
  3. Last name: Last name or family name (internally converted to upper case).

Once this information has been entered, an email message will be sent to the address entered in the above form. An account will be created using the email address as a username and a randomly generated password. Enter this password at the Login page to gain access to the web-site.

Note: The site requires Javascript and cookies to be enabled in order to make use of the system.

Logging in, changing user information and lost passwords

Use the login page to enter the username and password that you receive by email (either by creating your own account or by having an account created for you).

Once you are logged into the system, it may be a good idea to change your username and password to something that is easier for you to remember. Use this link to change the information. Please remember that this site is not designed for a high degree of security. It is better to use a different password here than you normally use for your important accounts.

If you need to change your email address, this can also be done at the above page. This is useful, for example, if you move or change addresses and wish to update your account.

If you lose your password, you can have it sent back to you at this page. Enter the email you used to create your account in this page, and the password will be sent again to that address. (Note that it is not possible for others to get your password unless they have access to your email account).

Note, however, that if you use a different (however slightly different) email address than you used when you created your account, this method will not be able to send your password to you. If you forget which email you used to create your account, please contact the system administrator.
